Highly Capable Program

Tekoa School District Highly Capable Program Services

Highly capable students are students who perform or show potential for performing at significantly advanced academic levels when compared with others of their age, experiences, or environments. Outstanding abilities are seen within students' general intellectual aptitudes, specific academic abilities, and/or creative productivity within a specific domain.

Any parent/guardian may refer his/her child for a highly capable assessment. Parents should complete the Parent Referral Form, which includes Authorization for Testing available at this link: Parent & Teacher Referral Form and in schools. In addition, teachers or other adults may nominate a student.
