Bus Driver

Route position is open for 2026-2027 school year

Accepting substitutes immediately

180 days, 4 hours per day

Initial Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Have at least five years of experience driving a passenger car
  • Complete a Washington State Patrol and a Federal Bureau of Investigation background record check that does not indicate any disqualifying conditions
  • Satisfactorily complete a school bus driver training course administered by an authorized school bus driver instructor
  • Meet all the continuing requirements for holding a school bus driver authorization, including a review of a five-year school bus driver abstract of your driver record

Continuing Requirements:

  • Valid Washington State driver’s license with CDL, Class B; S Endorsement
  • Current First Aid training
  • Complete annual disclosure form
  • Be able to demonstrate the physical ability to perform the job functions of a school bus driver
  • Current, valid medical examiners certificate
  • Pre-employment controlled substance testing

Salary range: $19.87 - $27.74 per hour

Paraprofessional - Substitute

Minimum qualifications include high school diploma AND 2 years of higher education or an associate’s degree. Applicants who do not meet the education requirement must qualify to meet the requirements through a formal assessment.

HS Golf: salary range $2,558 - $2,924
